You like me....you really like me!

I got really excited last night because I received an email saying "Congrats you now have 100 followers on BlogLovin". I was so excited that I literally got up and twerked did my celebratory booty dance.

Its kinda cool to think that over the last year that I have been doing this blog, there are at least 100 people who even for one day decided that my blog was interesting enough to read. I don't post all the time so I know I don't have anyone running to their computer to see what I have posted daily, but hey its still nice to feel the love.
I won't take away from the GFC followers either. Even though it is basically obsolete, bloggers are still using the follow counter and I know that giveways are still asking bloggers to follow on GFC. Strange but whatevs.

Thank you to all who read at all and see the progression that I have made in my blog. I do it all for fun. And I read other blogs for fun because its nice to know that if I'm not going on adventure I can always read about it in blogland. For the record I am not trying to become a household name; I just want to make some friends. The ladies that are in the blog world are pretty freakin cool. So who wants to be my blog friend?

Its Ok

To break 2 wine glasses in one week…but not freak out because there are still 4 more in the cabinet…

That I'm upset people are just now listening to Emeli Sande’…almost a year late people…shes amazing!!!

To stare at the pile of clothes in the corner room and hope that tomorrow it will wash itself

To eat an entire box of Kraft macaroni and cheese...in one sitting.

To read an entire month of magazines…the day I receive the next months issue

To keep all the seasons of Glee on the DVR to watch at a moments notice

That I let my students watch Magic School Bus all day
because the teacher did not leave me any substitute plans.

To be a Bulls fan AND a Heat Fan….but lets go HEAT!

It's Ok...

...to be late for work. 

This is the first time in weeks! I was just really tired and wanted to sleep that extra 10 minutes. 

Then it turned into 45.

...to eat cereal for dinner. 

This last week I have come home so tired that I don't want to make dinner. 

So Frosted Flakes it is.

...to be against the "Diva Cup"

I am just not down for the "emptying of the cup" 2-3 times a day.

But to each his own.

...that I have not done my hair in a week.

The weather has made me and my beanies best friends.

So until Spring appears I wont be doing it.

...that Shoedazzle forces me to purchase shoes. 

When you take 10 dollars out of my account I have no choice but to purchase.

And Daily emails are basically TELLING me that the shoe is on sale for ME to order.

...to not accept made up children names.

For the record Rejouissance, Giselangel, and Zah'Laiye are NOT names. 

The children were nice, those names are not.

I'm sorry to judge but it makes it hard for subs like me to take attendance.

...for me to check out 15 library books and 
continue to renew them until I finish reading them.

I'm currently on book 5.
I've renewed twice. 

...that I am addicted to Instagram. 

I feel some type of way when I don't get to post a pic for the day.

Photo A Day June

So I love these photo a day things on Instagram (@MissNewBourgie) because they keep things interesting. June is almost over and I wanted to share my month so far!

1. My last week at my job was ridiculous! I had stacks of applications and financial paperwork to get done!

2. My roommate beat me to the punch and moved out first! She had the bigger room and closet...I was always jealous...

3. Eggs Benedict is my guilty pleasure. I need to find cute brunch places in Charlotte!

4. I either wear heels or converse...they are so classic!

5. The sign on my door made me feel official...hope I can find another job with my own office again.

6. OKC made it to the NBA Finals but I am rooting for Miami!

7. Moe's has the best queso...I have been on a quest to make white queso like theirs...sigh

8. Melanie Fiona's album rocks! I love how she is also Guyanese :)

9. Spending a weekend in Philly was awesome! South street is great...I bought some really cute jewelry

10. Miami needs to win the Finals! That would make me so happy since I am a LeBron fan

11. I love malls...even the malls in New Jersey. They don't have tax on clothing!

12. Jamba juice is crack and I was stoked they had one in Newark Airport

13. I am terrible at bowling but still love to go. Great way to hang out with friends without pressure. The art at Boardwalk Bowl is so cute....

14. I need a new watch. I usually only wear Fossil watches. Any recommendations on a new brand to try?

Moving Mayhem!

Goodbye Orlando.....Hello Charlotte!!

I am now I'm in Charlotte officially!!! I arrived Tuesday night and it has been non-stop action unpacking, cleaning, purging, and napping. It is so true when people say "you never really know how much stuff you have until its time to move". Its crazy how much stuff I have accumulated over the last 4 years.

Is there a perfect way/smart way to pack? Because I need someone to fill me in...My car was absolutely PACKED to the brim. I couldn't even see out the rear-view mirror! But I needed to make sure everything got to NC. So I just shoved it all in there. I have driven the 7 and a half hour drive multiple times so it wasn't a big deal, but when you are in a small area with no room to move and the possibility of everything shifting and squashing you, the trip seemed more exhausting. But I made it safe.

My favorite part of moving is unpacking and more importantly decorating!! I have a clean palate to work with so I can add little things to make it mine. Living in my cousins house I cant paint or anything crazy, but I do plan on putting up picture frames and getting little knick knacks for my nightstand and dresser :) I am definitely most excited about my closet. Its double the size of the one at my last place and everything fits. I can honestly say that 65 percent of my car was filled with clothes and shoes.Once everything is complete I will take some pictures!
