I must confess...

2014 was definitely not my year for blogging. That is the understatement of the year I'm sure. I seem to recall doing a lot better In 2013 even though that was one of the worst years for me.

18 posts in 11 months. Pretty crappy if I do say so myself. But towards the end of the year my heart just wasn't in it. I was trying to blog all these awesome moments happening and then when I remember I either didn't have time to fully commit to a post, or another adventure came around. And then even worse I would have this great post about coming back and what I wanted to do, but then laziness would kick in and I would read a bunch of blogs and not write any of my own.

I wanted to blog about my fitness/weight loss mission, my relationships woes (and there has been a lot) and any other wonderfully chaotic things going on, but no dice. Then around my birthday in October I realized that when I started back up again blogging I wanted it to be because I actually enjoy it instead wanting people to care about stuff that might only be interesting to me.

And now on my 3rd try (third times a charm) I'm going to come back with a vengeance. Well not as intense, but of course I plan on revamping myself and my blogging ways that work with my busy life right now. I'm ready to blog for me and use it for what it was originally intended. A chronicle of my Bourgie life.

New outlook on life.

So to all my old blog friends I hope you haven't seen the post pop up and roll your eyes. This won't be the last one for months again I promise.

I got really excited last night because I received an email saying "Congrats you now have 100 followers on BlogLovin". I was so excited that I literally got up and twerked did my celebratory booty dance.

Its kinda cool to think that over the last year that I have been doing this blog, there are at least 100 people who even for one day decided that my blog was interesting enough to read. I don't post all the time so I know I don't have anyone running to their computer to see what I have posted daily, but hey its still nice to feel the love.
I won't take away from the GFC followers either. Even though it is basically obsolete, bloggers are still using the follow counter and I know that giveways are still asking bloggers to follow on GFC. Strange but whatevs.

Thank you to all who read at all and see the progression that I have made in my blog. I do it all for fun. And I read other blogs for fun because its nice to know that if I'm not going on adventure I can always read about it in blogland. For the record I am not trying to become a household name; I just want to make some friends. The ladies that are in the blog world are pretty freakin cool. So who wants to be my blog friend?

Just a quick tidbit...

This whole Google Reader disappearance has everyone in a tizzy....yes I said tizzy. For the record I understand why they are getting rid of it. I always felt it was a hassle and annoying and when I really wanted to read someones blog specifically I would just go straight to their page. If i am following your blog and you have a BlogLovin button, you better believe I'm following you on both, but only reading through BlogLovin.

I recently had to sort of start my blog over...because my GFC followers weren't working. I didn't think this was a problem until I started to see that if people couldn't follow my blog with GFC, they were not using the option of BlogLovin and just not following at all. Which made me realize how many people didn't know about the site. This is now the chance that the site has been waiting for....BlogLovin must be having the Best Week Ever! (thanks VH1)

To be completely honest (don't be mad) a majority of my blogs that I read daily or weekly are on Bloglovin so I have no problem switching over. If I follow a blog on GFC its mostly because I have been told to do so in order to be entered for a giveaway. But BlogLovin is way more organized and I can see the actual blog and appreciate all the time people spent making their blogs.

Sooooo with that being said....

If you would like to continue following me and currently are using Google Reader, go ahead and get it over with and switch to BlogLovin now and click on my button in this post or on my sidebar. When I first started blogging last year, signing up for BlogLovin was the best decision I made. It gives me the chance to put blogs into catagories (I have my favorites, my fashion, my link-ups, etc) and its EASY!
