Friday Fancies

I have a soft spot for Fall.

It's my favorite time of year!

The fashion, the weather, and my birthday (October 9th)!

Even though it hasn't gotten cool yet, I am already thinking of all the things that I want to get.

There are some key things that I definitely need in my closet once a chill comes into the air.

one Sweater/Cardigan.
I need to get a whole bunch in several different colors.
I have been looking at some crew neck sweaters with cute patterns,
 so I think this year I may try those.
But a classic black one is always a good option.

two scarves.
I want some long ones and infinity ones, and some to wear in my hair.
I love that a scarf can keep me warm and help me through a bad hair day.

three Jeans. 
The darker the better. I love me some boyfriend jeans, but in the Fall I like for my jeans to hug me nicely. But depending on the occasion I may be able to sneak some rolled -up jeans into my rotation.

four Boots 
Tall, Short, Heeled and flat. I love boots because they make any outfit look put together.
Even if you just threw them on to go.
I think Floral boots will still be nice looking in the Fall because of the contrast.
Bright flowers against the fallen crunchy leaves.

five Tote Purses 
I get really busy in the Fall (substitute teaching and sorority stuff) so I like to have everything with me.
I can fit a snack, umbrella, and a couple books in there.
Maybe even a pair of shoes. Perfect for a road trip!
I have asked for this Michael Kors tote for my birthday.
Crossing my fingers I get it.

Let's Get Some Shoes!!

When I found out that this weeks Friday Fancies was Shoes I was so estatic! 

Anyone who knows me KNOWS that I am the Shoe Queen. Not Shoe Addict, Shoe QUEEN. 

But I decided to choose 4 shoes that I think are very important for Spring/Summer.

1. Wedges: I love wedges because they always make me feel so feminine. All my spring/summer dresses will be worn with wedges. I love heels, but I tend to only wear my pumps at night when I'm out on the town. Wedges are a nice alternative and there are so many to choose from!
2. Sperry's: I had to throw some leopard in there. I have a pair of leopard Sperry's that I'm so excited to wear when it warms up. These ones are just as cute.
3. Sandals: Enough said. Sandals = toes out and cute bright colored sandals! Aldo has a great collection. My favorite color Teal is everywhere!
4. Sneakers: Converse are my favorites so whenever my legs can come out I throw them on. I have some in every color, except white. This summer I may venture out and get some!

Polka Dots

HAPPY FRIDAY!!

I'm dreaming about Spring! 

I found this really cute Aeropostale polka dot top that would really show off that Spring is here! 

Its in Mint Green so of course I thought it was amazing!

I like to not go overboard with prints so one item with print is all I need.

Keeping it casual I would wear this outfit to a weekend shopping trip or to lunch with friends! 

I am dying to wear white so these shorts are so cute! 

I'm not one who shows my thighs too much so the longer the shorts the better!

Lately I have been into studs so Aldo is my place to go for cute and edgy accessories. 

These square studs share the polka dot motif so they go perfectly! 

And with the sun finally out and about these sunglasses are super cute and springy!

I am DYING to get some TOMS and aside from leopard, glitter is where its at. These TOMs are definitely on my "need to buy" list. They have been for about 3 months. Hopefully I will get them soon and rock them all summer!

Outfit Crush/Fashion Friday

Happy Friday!!

This week I chose to post about an outfit that I have been dying to wear.
A couple separate pieces stuck out to me.
So i was playing around with them and decided to combine them all!
It actually worked!

Outfit Crush - Birthday Night Out by niikirbm featuring glitter hats

1. Sequin Jacket: The whole month of December I kept seeing a bunch of outfit planning for New Years and it included a sequin jacket. I thought it was so cute but wasn't really what I wanted for NYE (I am all about dresses!) But i think the jacket would be perfect for a nice night out for a dinner(maybe a birthday) with friends downtown. I've been afraid to wear this because I don't particularly like my arms and it didn't seem like the material would have any give. But if I had the opportunity to find one that fit and flattered I would definitely wear it.

2. Tuxedo pants: I own a pair of leggings that have a tuxedo stripe of sequins down the side. I love them! But i think the actual tuxedo pants with the satin stripe down the side is so cute! Its really subtle chic and would go really well with the jacket.

3. Ankle Bootie: The higher the better when it comes to heels for me and boots are not exception. I love these Baker booties and I was thinking closed toed shoes since its cold outside.

4. Beanie: My boyfriend calls them "Coofies" (I think its a Jersey/up North thing) but whatever you call them I love to wear them. I dress them up and dress them down. Sometimes I just don't feel like doing my hair all the way and a "coofie" is a secret way to hide it lol.

5. Chanel Purse. Enough said.

Green with Envy...

So I keep hearing that Emerald is the color of 2013. I couldn't be happier! I love rich deep colors like dark blues, reds, and purples (I'm a Fall baby so it makes sense) so Emerald really will not be hard at all to integrate in my wardrobe!

If I wore Emerald in a casual outfit it would be in my accessories. This Kate Spade bag is to DIE for! I would carry it all the time and I love that its two toned. I am on a mission to get some leather leggings. I think if I find the right pair for my body type I would rock these with everything!

Now dressing it up I would want to make a statement; and that means Emerald as the focal point!
This dress is HOT! I also saw this phone case and thought it would be cute to be able to match my cases to my outfit. Easier said than done but still great! I love dresses that cling to curves and with a great pump I always feel so sexy so I wouldn't mind having this one in my closet!

Looks like I've got some work to do!
